Jesus was found guilty and sentenced to be crucified. After reading these verses, we conclude that the only thing Christ was guilty of was being innocent.
Isa 53:9 He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, though he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth.
Matt 27:4 "I (Judas) have sinned," he said, "for I have betrayed innocent blood."
Matt 27:19 While Pilate was sitting on the judge's seat, his wife sent him this message: "Don't have anything to do with that innocent man, for I have suffered a great deal today in a dream because of him."
Matt 27:23 "Why? What crime has he committed?" asked Pilate. But they shouted all the louder, "Crucify him!"
Luke 23:4 Then Pilate announced to the chief priests and the crowd, "I find no basis for a charge against this man."
Luke 23:13-14 Pilate called together the chief priests, the rulers and the people, and said to them, "You brought me this man as one who was inciting the people to rebellion. I have examined him in your presence and have found no basis for your charges against him.
Luke 23:41 We (thieves on crosses next to Jesus) are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong."
Luke 23:47 The centurion, seeing what had happened (upon Jesus’ death), praised God and said, "Surely this was a righteous man."
John 8:46 Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don't you believe me?
John 18:38 "What is truth?" Pilate asked. With this he went out again to the Jews and said, "I find no basis for a charge against him.
2 Cor 5:21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
Heb 4:15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are-yet was without sin.
Heb 7:26-27 Such a high priest meets our need-one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens. Unlike the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for their sins once for all when he offered himself.
1 Peter 2:22 "He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth."
1 John 3:5 But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin.
